A Family Reunion

Synopsis

Stick Man lives in the family tree

With his Stick Lady Love

and their stick children three…’

What starts off as a morning jog becomes quite the misadventure for Stick Man: a dog wants to play fetch with him, a swan builds a nest with him, and he even ends up on a fire!

How will Stick Man ever get back to the family tree? Packed full of puppetry, live music and fun action, Stick Man is a beautiful, funny and endearing story that will delight young minds.

Stick Man, based on the book by Julia Donaldson with illustrations by Axel Scheffler, is back in London in 2018 for its eighth annual West End season.

The Experience

The adaptation from page to stage is always an interesting review for us.  The cast strength is paramount and the role of Stick Man is played wonderfully.

The stage set is absent polished backdrops and stage sparkle, often associated with West End shows and carried with just a handful of props and imagination.

The audience are engaged meticulously and plenty of roaring laughter fills the theatre. The friendly banter with children was pleasing and greeted by parents.
