Conrad Chia Laguna Resort, Sardinia, Italy

Hilton makes its first mark in Italy. Conrad Chia Laguna resort overlooks Chia Bay, Monte Cogoni Beach, and Dune di Campana Beach.

It is idyllic for families and couples alike. This five star resort has an array of services including an a la carte restaurant, live entertainment, treasured family evenings and sports facilities (diving and tennis – both are my favourites).

It is 40 miles from Caligri airport, fairly swift drive and we had chosen to hire a car on this journey. Moments outside the airport, we spot the lagoon with pink flamingos giving us the best welcome and giggles of delight from our little people!

The rooms are an elegant and contemporary design. A subtle palette of pale lime green, beige, white and grey, with a touch of Sardinian Bisazza mosaic tiling.

There are two restaurants to choose from, each with its own unique menu. La Terrazza serves a menu of Mediterranean and international cuisine in an open, informal buffet setting. This was ideal for families and held the magic of al fresco dining.

Highlights

  • A shuttle bus runs between the private beach and hotel upon request. Highly convenient and the children loved boarding each and every trip.
  • Flexible dining – La Terrazza serves a menu of Mediterranean and international cuisine in an open, informal buffet setting.
  • Room Service was phenomenal. High quality, accommodating and presented multiple options for our 10 day stay.
  • Mini club open from 9.30am to 12.30pm and 3pm-5.30pm

Overall : 8/10

Chia, is a coastal area in southern Sardinia. The beauty combined of sand dunes, coastal flora and fauna constructs Chia to be a highly sought after holiday spot. The local beaches are breathtaking and policed to prevent overcrowding. The beach system is seamless from hiring a chair, crystal clear water, mouthwatering fresh Sardinian local food and gentle hues of gold sand.
