WestHouse 5* Hotel, New York

A Peaceful Family Escape in the Heart of New York

Our family stayed at WestHouse New York for a week in April, and it truly exceeded our expectations. We stayed in a one-bedroom balcony suite, which was both elegant and comfortable — a perfect retreat after long days exploring the city. The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and had a real “home away from home” feel, with a touch of understated luxury.

One of the highlights was the Resident Privileges, included as part of the nightly fee. The daily breakfast was generous, fresh, and set us up perfectly for a day of sightseeing. But it was the Evening Terrace experience that really stood out — a relaxing spread of tapas, desserts, and complimentary drinks (including wine, beer, and sparkling wine) every night from 5 to 8 pm. It quickly became part of our daily routine, and often, the tapas were more than enough to count as dinner.

The location couldn’t have been better — close to great restaurants, convenient subway links, and easy access to some of New York’s best attractions (Broadway, Columbus Circle and Central Park. Despite being in the heart of the action, the hotel itself felt calm and peaceful — the perfect contrast to the energy of the city.

We also made use of the WestRoom, an intimate space just off the 23rd-floor terrace, where my husband held a Zoom meeting one morning. It was quiet, private, and ideal for a quick bit of work during our stay. The staff were always friendly and professional, and the in-residence amenities — including high-speed Wi-Fi, the fitness center, and the business services — made everything effortless.

Overall, WestHouse New York manages to combine the sophistication of a boutique hotel with the warmth and comfort of a private residence. It was a wonderful base for our family’s New York adventure, and we’d happily stay again.
